Rosemead, California is a city in the Los Angeles County with a population of 53,764 at the 2010 United States Census. The city of Rosemead along with other cities are part of a cluster of cities with a growing Asain population.
There are several places of interest in Rosemead such as the Dinsmoor Heritage House; a bijou museum that preserves, houses and displays a showcase of the rich and colorful history of the City of Rosemead. Located at Rosemead High School is the Marinelli Stadium, named after the former head coach of the Detroit Lions. Rosemead offers two community centers which have multi purpose facilites for a wide variety of occasions, senior activities, education programs for adults as well as two preschools. The Rosemead Aquatic Center is located in Rosemead Park, the center features swim, water polo and diving facilities including but not limited to, educational swim classes, and recreation areas. The plans for the second aquatic center were completed at the end of the Summer 2011. The Garvey Aquatic Center is a state of the art recreational aquatic center, featuring water slides, interactive play areas as well as a lesson pool. The Garvey Aquatic Center was funded entirely through a grant from the State of California. There are several city parks to visit, equipped with everything from picnic facilities and playgrounds to fitness trails and softball/baseball fields as well as expansive open space. Shopping in the Rosemead features major department stores, smaller shops and a small food court. A small part of the Montebello Town Center falls in the Rosemead city limits. There is also an Asain Shopping Center in the city, formerly known as Dimond Square Shopping center which features many restaurants and many other Chinese shops.
