About Fairfield

Fairfield is a city located in Solano County in Northern California. The city was founded in 1859 by Captain Robert H. Waterman, and is also named after his former hometown of Fairfield, Connecticut. The city was later incorporated in 1903.

According to the 2010 United States Census, there were 105,321 people living in the city. The population density was 2,798.5 people per square mile. According to the 2000 United States Census, the median household income for the city was $51,151 and the median income for a family is $55,503. The per capita income for the city is $20,617.
